Airlink PinPoint-E Rugged Intelligent Modems (EVDO)

By blending an always-on wireless broadband data connection with a high-precision integrated GPS receiver, the PinPoint-E provides scaleable mobile data solutions for the enterprise. As a standalone in-vehicle device, it enables AVL, fleet management and real-time dispatch applications.

Its Ethernet, serial, and digital interfaces enable a host applications to communicate over public 3G data networks.

Rugged Intelligence
Powered by ALEOS technology, the PinPoint-E is a robust in-vehicle data and tracking device. Its Ethernet port enables the PinPoint-E to take full advantage of today’s high-speed data networks, while the serial port eases configuration and installation. A high-sensitivity GPS receiver, built in location protocols and high-speed data capability make the PinPoint-E perfectly suited for any mobile data and location tracking application.

Next Generation EV-DO Wireless Data
Featuring a robust processor and a highspeed Ethernet interface the PinPoint-E is designed for today’s 3G wireless networks. Leveraging high-speed EV-DO Release 0 technology, the Sierra Wireless AirLink PinPoint-E provides wide area wireless download speeds up to 2.4 Mbps. Users can expect average download speeds of 400 - 700 Kbps. In areas where EV-DO is not available the PinPoint-E is backward compatible to CDMA 1x technology.
