Mobile Computers are divided into the following three categories reflecting their target use: 1) handheld computers, 2) vehicle mounted computers and 3) wearable computers.
Handheld computers are designed for workers who cannot be tethered to a desktop or laptop computer and typically require some type of data capture (e.g. barcode scanning) capability. These handheld computers can be used by workers in-the-field like a parcel delivery worker who needs to scan barcodes on a package for pick-up and delivery confirmation or a warehouse employee within-the-four-walls who is scanning items as part of the picking process. Some of the key features of a handheld computer include ruggedness, wireless communications and computing power.
Vehicle-mounted computers are designed to be installed onto a vehicle and are typically used on fork-lift trucks (FLTs) in warehouses, distribution centers and yards. They have special features for this type of use including support for DC power and ignition control for automatic shut-off.
Wearable computers are designed for warehouse workers and typically consist of two components: a ring scanner and a wearable computer. Together, they allow the worker to have both hands free as they don't have to use one hand to hold onto a handheld computer.
All Products are NEW, factory sealed and come with the FULL manufacturer's warranty (unless otherwise specified).
